West Sussex Sustainable Business Partnership
(WSSBP) promotes sustainable practices
to businesses within West Sussex.
The business benefits of improving
sustainability include: long term
business survival by planning for
upcoming legislation, cost savings
of improved resource efficiency, reduction
in cost of fines, reduction in planning
permission issues if considering issues
of biodiversity at outset, reduced
supply chain pressure, improve company
image etc. The work of the WSSBP is
achieved by signposting businesses
to where they can find free information
on various issues of sustainability,
grants and funding and free environmental
audits, providing networking opportunities
for businesses, providing training
programmes for businesses and providing
any local advice. Funding for the
WSSBP is limited, so any funding raised
through this recycling initiative
will be ploughed back into delivering
further sustainability services to
businesses in West Sussex.
