The Intelligent Recycling link
Wouldn't it be great if you could have your own personalised recycling page allowing individuals to
donate their mobile phones, empty inkjets and laser/toner cartridges raising funds directly to your charitable organisation from your own web site!
Donators vs. Collectors
Most individuals who come to our web site will signup as a Donator (via our 'Start Donating' button) or as a
Collector (via our 'Start Collecting' button).
- When a Donator registers to recycle items they will choose the charitable organisation (i.e. the 'Collector') who they wish to
receive the proceeds of their recycling efforts.
- If you are a charitable organisation and want to appear on the drop-down list that a Donator selects
then you will need to signup as a Collector by clicking on our 'Start Collecting' button.
But What is the Intelligent Link?
As a Collector you may wish to increase the amount of donators who choose to signup to you. A great way of doing this is
to have a recycling banner on your web site. We will send you a snippet of HTML code that has been customised to your charitable
organisation.
When users come to your web site they can then click on the recycling banner and it will take them directly to a customised
'Start Donating' signup page with your charitable organisation's name clearly indicated.
This now means that any user who signs up via your personalised signup page will receive recycling bags
(or collection boxes) that have your charitable organisation's unique ID and your logo. Any items that come back to our warehouse via
these personalised recycling bags will be scanned in and funds will go directly into your funds collection pool.
You can see a full breakdown of your collection pool i.e. how much has been raised by viewing your
Breakdown Statement.
This means that any person visiting your site is able, quickly and easily, to sign up to donate their waste to your cause and
therefore snowball your collection efforts and the size of the donation cheque we send to you every quarter!
We do our utmost to keep Recycle4Charity.co.uk free for all our Collectors and Donators.
The Intelligent Link will not cost your organisation anything to setup and will give you the power to maximise your collection
efforts straight from your own web site. Why not use the Intelligent Link on some of your supporters web sites too!
How To Set Up...
- Contact Us stating you would like the Intelligent Link on your web site
- We will send you the html code to place on your site and three banners of various sizes - pixel sizes: 468x60, 234x60 and 120x60
- You place the banner of your choice on your web site along with the html code we provide you
- Users click on the recycling banner on your web site and can now donate inkjets, mobiles and laser/toner cartridges raising funds directly to your charitable organisation!
Things that can be done Quickly, Easily and for Free...
1. Place the Intelligent link on your own web site
Just like any promotional banner it will sit on your web page advertising that people should recycle their inkjets and old mobile phones 4 charity!
Any visitors that click on the button will be sent to your own personal recycling sign up page.
Visitors that sign up will receive your personalised recycling bags and boxes through the post.
All items that are returned to the recycling centre will be automatically donated to your own collection scheme.
Every three months the donator will receive an email breakdown of how much (money, carts, mobiles etc.) they have raised for your organisation.
We then add their donations to your normal collection cheque every three months.
This will help you expand your collection net and funds at no cost.
Don't forget it is totally free to obtain your intelligent link and will cost you nothing to implement.
It is also still totally free for your future donators.
2. Give the link to your supporters web sites!
This means you can give your personalised recycling banner to any of your supporters websites.
From your supporters point of view their are four main reasons why they would support such a banner.
Firstly it's free of charge, secondly it helps the organisation which they actively support raise funds, thirdly it helps
the environment and finally it demonstrates that they are a socially responsible organisation.
Even if only a few of your supporting websites decided to host your intelligent recycling link then it would give your
recycling campaign exposure to thousands more potential recyclers.
3. The email advert to supporters!
Send a small advert to all your individual supporters asking them to recycle 4 your cause.
If you have the technical knowledge to send an Html email then you can insert the banner and code, thus making the email look more professional.
If not, you can always send a normal text-based email asking people to "click on the link below" (use the code we give you as the link.).
It won't look as good but will still work in exactly the same way! Obviously - anybody that clicks on the link / banner will be taken to your
personal sign up page.
If at the bottom you ask the receiver "if you think this is a good idea and support us in our cause - please forward this email to your contacts"
then this will also work as A circular email and snowball the amount of people it will reach.
For example you send it to 1,000 people and 1% of them send it on to another 100 people each you will have reached 2,000 people,
and again = 3,000 and so on!
